this dog was lovely. i don't know why but every time i saw him perform he almost brought tears to my eyes... just because of the joy he brings to people and what a tight bond he and his owner had! he was great. his spirit will live on forever!

Skidboot was not only the real and original "Greatest American Dog" but he was in a class by himself and it would not have been fair to let him compete on the tv show.Forever in my heart.......

Not one to comment, I felt compelled to say how much I enjoyed the video of Skidboot. Our loved ones live on in our hearts, memories and on film.I love Cattle dogs!

He isn't gone. The soul this dog had comes from energy sent to a loved one from a love one who as passed. The dog will be reborn again and one day probably very soon now David will find a puppy that he "just knows is Skidboot come back" I've raised ACDs for over 35 yrs and my nearest and closet dogs have returned to me multiple times throughout those years. They even appear in dreams to tell me know to find them and when to go out and look for them. Believe it or not.
