i don't think anyone should be oppressed. I believe homosexuality is not what God intended, but when i sin i'm just as bad as a homosexual. There is no dividing line. We all are stuck in sin until we allow Jesus to take the blame for us. To many people who are anti-gay get caught up in their selfrighteousness when they are just as bad. I think that is where akinola's fault is.

Good for Mr. Akinola! Even if you don't agree with his message, you have to admit that he's got guts for preaching what he believes in.

cont: I guess in theory that we are on a quest, yet to say to what or for what I do not know. The bible cannot intepret it nor "filling the hole in your heart" statement will not do, its something much bigger than that! Something within that connects something we are not aware of. The problem is that we all are way too busy to notice, working, paying bills, growing in many forms, hating, laugh, loving that probably we are not paying enough attention.. Sorry im babbling out loud again, :(

Furthermore, if such a "god" exist then its only up to that "god" to take action instead of leading his/her followers do the battle for him/her. We as human beings have a bigger role to perform here on this planet before out time to expire comes. And to say exactly what it is I cannot say nor the bible can say. For a reason we are here yet each one of us must find it on our own before that time frame ends and out time has come to expire.

Understandable, shifta65, it would be a lot easier if the judges new our true nature and understand civilians, yet there are far to many to get acquanted with and getting acquanted itself can provoke problems of favoritism. But be aware that not many share those points of views, there are those that don't believe in a monotheist system while others don't believe in a "god" at all and this is where the conflict begins to collide between two or more sub-cultures: religious and non.

Exsecrabilis: It seems more reasonable to judge a person's behavior rather than a person's character. Our court system is designed for judging behavior. The courts try to mete out appropriate punishment or vindication based upon behavior, but courts know very little about our true character traits. Judging a person's character usually should be left to God because only HE knows our inner thoughts and secret intentions.
