Well I liked it. The Egg-bodies and other images were quite reasonable and creative and I expected Tom Crusie to be out there somewhere, like in war of the worlds. Anyways and Hemmingways It was my first glance at Dowlings work and he was to me well how shall I say it, propitious this time around. The pixel fades were not enough chimeric but rather dilettante. Go Bobby Go ! ! !

gold is right, doesnt do him justice at all, like the music though

I dislike the slow fades -- quick jumpcuts would be better, then I could focus more on the images instead of the blur between frames. However, the images/paintings are indeed interesting (when they become clear between fading overs).I've not previously heard of Robert Dowling.

Dave,You are absolutely correct. It doesn't do him justice at all. Robert's amazing work is beyond belief, layered, and indescribable. The video reduction on here did not translate that well and is pixelating for some reason as well. I'll get better at it. It is my first video attempt of this nature! Thanks for commenting!

Attention viewers, this video does not to justice for Robert Dowlings work. Google him and view his work on his site. I assure you will not be disappointed. Coming to you from a fellow contemporary surrealist.Dave Gold |
