That is true that western civilization is good for that very reason. However in the name of freedom people abuse the right and use it to do bad things. So the western civilization has a pro and con on that aspect, India may not have full scale freedom but thats a good thing in a way because it maintains culture. Culture that helps bind families together, teach respect through humbleness. All that i point to prove, freedom on large scale is not always a good thing, it soon is taken for granted.

Kiu:Let me tell you something, in India only 4 % people can speak fluent English. And mostly from this "so called English speaking Indians" get to settled abroad. So people around the world think, Oh! Indians can speak English!!! But due to its high population (1000 millions) even small percentage makes big numbers. Rest (96 %) people communicate in either Hindi or in their regional language. However, most children learn English in Indian school. But that English is not enough for communication.

Inspite of telling someone else not to follow british culture you yourslef are speaking english, which is not your fathers language if i m not wrong... pehle apni gariban main jhanko phir dusru ko kehne ki jurrat karo. pehle khud badlo phir dusro ko badal ne ki koshish karo. galiya dene se koi tumhari baat nhi manega, oolta aap ki maan baap ke bare main soche jinhun ne aap ko yahi sikhaya hai kiya.......

The greatest civilizations of the future will be the ones that were tolerant and flexible, open to changes and adaptations. China and Japan are realizing that fast and there is a huge rush in these countries to promote English in their primary curriculum. By shuting out and closing your society, there is nothing you will gain except false ego. It is about learning the most from the experience of life, the more you appreciate other cultures the better all rounded individual you will be.

US has made Spanish their official language just because of Mexicans. One should adopt change and tolerance with open arms. Lanugage is a part of the deal. Freedom and tolerance are interrelated with each other. As Barack Obama said "You can throw away all Mexicans out of America, but is that the America you guys want? Is that the America that will be called tolerant and great?" By saying that one should throw out a foriegn language you are sowing the first seeds of intolerance.

America is a country of ambitions. See Barack Hussien Obama, a perfect example of American greatness. Can u imagine a minority race black (supposed muslim) winning in a white christian country? Thats America for you my friend. Same is India, Manmohan Singh Sikh PM, Muslim President and Sonia Gandhi is christian. Acceptance and Tolerance. That is the greatness of freedom and democracies in India and US. You want to chain this freedom with a particular language? It is not possible my friend.

China/Russia are not democracies. And let us not pretend, USA/UK gets a record number of immigration applications from middle east every year, and also from China/Brazil/Mexico/Japan and other 190 countries too. The world does love the American culture and freedom and wants to be a part of it. And I am not supporting the evil deeds of American government, but American culture and people are different from their govt.

True beauty of western culture is their freedom. For example they even dont care if their own citizens stay christians or become athiests. Their own citizens visit all part of the world, convert to all sorts of religions and speak all sorts of languages, they have absolute freedom. That is the beauty of western civilization. That is the environment where human creativity can thrive at its best, as we see in their scientific and cultural advancements. We aim to achieve the same freedom in India.
