I think this one of the great YouTube videos in that it really nails everything that people have said in comments below to this video itself. Led Zeppelin were a band that brought great songs, brilliant musicianship and excitement to the art of music making. Whether you're a Van Halen fan or a slipknot fan LZ's influence of this phenomenon is unchallenged - they were good for music and inspiring others to push the boundries of music making.

good for you stratdem - cover versions only work when they include your take on it. My personal favourite drummer varies depending on what music he (sorry but don't even mention "SHE") is playing. One of my favourites is Cozy Powell - he worked well with whoever he played with, which in my opinion is the mark of a true versatile drummer.

WE MOSTLY DO ARE OWN MUSIC we find that true talent shines when you play somthing you wroteand not something that has already been done by someone else. its way to easy to do that and it say nothing on your talent.

cheers stratdem - that is what people are fired up about - YOU play THEIR versions - they did it FIRST. John Bonham was the very best drummer that Led Zep could have had at the time - Alex V-H and Neil Peart are the very best V-H and what's their name again? - that Geddy Lee's band is it? Oh yeh - Rush type drummers that were there at the time. Drummers are a different breed from Guitarists, Keyboards, Bassists etc they may seem like timekeepers but when they add expression they make it all work

first off bonham is not the worlds greatest drummer NOT EVEN FUCKING CLOSE!your in fantasy land pal if you think bonham is the best every one i know thinks he the most over rated drummer on the plannet.and as for my self alex van halen and neil peart would mop the stage floor with bonham.now i'm done with this subject dont bother to reply.

Well stratdem I've had a look at your page - plenty of influences, favourites etc but nothing from yourself - you appear to have set yourself up in judgement of the world's great drummers (strange when you're only a guitarist) Have you any footage or soundtrack of your good self in concert? By the way what about Gary Moore?
