I really just wished I had a big block engine to rev. I live in South East Asia and all we got are small Japanese engines. Its a lot of fun... but sometimes you just wished for something big. Like an American V8. Or a British touring car.

Basically, just because its an Aston its good, otherwise its a really bad car. If Honda or Toyota came out with this exact same car, I doubt Jeremy would give it second thought

Screw not being able to rewind :-\

gualty,The Boss 429 is almost 40 yrs old and we still talk about it. That should tell you something. Whats not to like about a car who's engine is so big that the battery had to go in the trunk.. Tires in 1969 were small and skinny by todays standard that must have hurt handling. I had a 69 mustang mach 1 with a 351ci it could could burn rubber in all 3 automatic gears. Narrow stock tires saw to that. Today a Toyota carolla has better rubber than an American muscle car from the 1960 and 70's

Let's talk about cars not "hard times" or economy...the real world is made of corners and turns not just straight lines...and the Boss 429 was just good in a straight line it's a fact! but that does not mean that I do not like it...A 1959 Eldorado Biarritz was shit to drive but I love it...

The boss 429 was $5000. You could buy this thing and drive it to work. An everyday person could buy it with some small sacrifices. The miura was a different story.. Only rich europeans could buy it and take it out once in awhile. Not really comparable cars.
frontier1001 (July 22, 2008 at 11:28 pm)
Yes the Boss 429 was built for straight line acceleration. We like that sort of thing here. It was not really meant for export to the UK or Italy.. Not every Italian car is a Lombo either, Remember the Fiat 124 or 128 sold here [U.S.] as the Yugo. You don't want us to judge all Italian cars by that crap do you?..Be careful what you wish for. If the U.S. has hard times It would be a disaster for the Europeans. Your economies depend on a strong U.S. For defense and trade. And you will Learn that!

Ford Mustang Boss 429?? It was fast in a straight line but in corners?? Terrible as usual...put it against a 1969 Lamborghini Miura round a circuit and ohhh my God the Lambo would kick its ass!!
gualty86 (July 22, 2008 at 8:04 pm)
Ford is in the middle of a deep financial crisis..and America ins in the middle of an even bigger financial crisis so shut up!! Oh and by the way: Brits can't run a car company...but Americans CANNOT EVEN BUILD A PROPER CAR!! So shut up and learn!!
