Talk about an amazing horse It is a shame that we are not breeding racing horses like that anymore. Studies are being done that say in a year or so that a race horse will only be strong (physically) enough to run ONE race. There is something wrong with that if you ask my opinion

Proofs that Seabiscuit was the GREATEST horse that ever lived:1. Seabiscuit is made of the same 'cosmic stuff' as Chuck Norris.2. Seabiscuit never 'moved' over the earth, but the the strength of his gallop made the earth move under his feet - (the earth has not stopped moving 1000 mph since!)3. Seabiscuit solved Pi.4. Seabiscuit could divide by zero.5. Seabiscuit knows how many licks it takes to get to the center of a toosie-roll tootsie pop.6. Seabiscuit never died.

I also want to mention that what makes Seabiscuit so amazing and unbelievable is that he came back from a Ruptured Tendon injury (which kills the career of any thoroughbred) but Seabiscuit bounced back and won the Santa Anita in 1940.I believe Seabiscuit would have even beaten his grandfather "Man-O-War" in his prime if given the chance. Seabiscuit is the greatest horse that ever lived and not because of statistics, but because of heart.

I am tired of people saying that Seabiscuit wasnt a Triple-Crown winner! Seabiscuit would have annihilated the competition if he were allowed to race. But only 3-year old horses were allowed to compete for the Triple Crown and Seabiscuit was already 4 at the time he was in his element. This is because Fitzsimmons (his original trainer) didnt give Seabiscuit the attention he deserved until Tom Smith came into the picture and helped the 'Biscuit' find himself.

Seabiscuit was amazing, but the movie exaggerates their size. War Admiral wasn't as big as they said, nor was Seabiscuit as small.Still amazing. >:D Great real life story of a great underdog.

Seabiscuit had a lot of heart and that is what drove him. It is easy to say what could have happened on a subsequent run but what did happen is that Seabiscuit beat War Admiral fair and square. |
