The U.S. has a $9.1 TRILLION budget deficit, needs $50+ TRILLION to make Social Security payments (which started when Baby Boomers began to retire THIS YEAR) and a whopping $250+ TRILLION in Medicare and Medicaid liability. The U.S. is so far in the HOLE, we may NEVER see our way out of this. America is at the threshold of the Mother of ALL Economic Shitstorms... and the sooner America WAKES UP, the better.Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate with an EFFECTIVE PLAN to fix this MESS.

I've never been polled. "Most Americans aren't economist and most Americans aren't political people." Most Americans are also pretty ignorant if they don't care about the economy/politics.

The latest estimate of the growing costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the worldwide battle against terrorism -- nearly $15 billion a month -- came last week from one of the Senate's leading proponents of a continued U.S. military presence in Iraq."This cost of this war is approaching $15 billion a month, with the Army spending $4.2 billion of that every month," Sen. Ted Stevens (Alaska).
