Jesus' big outgoing momentous song. A highlight of the production. And what does Glenn Carter do? He screws it up - "Juscht a little!!!".It amazes me that a 60-something year old Ted Neeley can take 3 years off from singing this song altogether, then get up and STILL do it about 229 times better than this joker.I picked a small number like 229 because I hate exaggerating things.

Indeed... I'm unlucky enough to have heard Bach screw it up as well!

i completely agree with you guys. there was only one song that was done decently and that was simons song. It's kinda funny how they also got a judas that equally sucked. I hated this movie with a passion. This was one of the worst productions to one of my favorite musicals. As far as if this guy was in fact the worst jesus of all time (or at least from what i have seen from youtube :P) it's a toss up between this sorry bastard, and Sebatian Bach. If you haven't heard him...look it up.

I want to caution YOU. Your post is within an inch of being pure unadulterated bullshit.I don't give a FUCK what you think we're mocking, okay dude? You weren't here when we made the dub. I'm making fun of a shitty production of my favourite musical of all time. And even if I WERE making fun of Jesus... that's my fucking choice, assface. I won't say this again. Us = mocking Glen Carter for being substandard. Nothing to do with Jesus. Good Day.

First off, I want to caution you. You're saying that you would "look forward" to and "would like to see this guy get crucified." JCS is the story of the God-man, Jesus Christ. While Glenn Carter is performing, he's playing the role of a man that many, including myself, trust as their greatest love and Savior. Be careful about what and who you are mocking. Your comments go beyond disparaging a given perfomance or a JCS interpretation. You're close to mocking Jesus.

No. Lloyd-Webber hasn't produced anything good in decades. His decision to choose Carter is only as canny as George Lucas's decision to choose crap graphics over decent acting. People just lost their touch after a while.I'm not shoving this opinion down ANYONE'S throat. The undubbed version is in the related videos, AND you can buy the DVD. Crazy, hey!

Fair enough, everybody is entitled to their opinions. But not trying to shove it down other people's throats, and slating other people's opinions. Pure wuss - that's in your opinion. Have you ever been on a West End stage, playing a leading man? Please, enlighten me. I think it's funny how you avoided saying anything about the rock singing and how Lloyd-Webber chose Carter. Hmm...couldn't think of a comeback? If anyone knows what they're doing, it's Lloyd-Webber.

Your background is duly noted, but it's irrelevant. It still comes down to 'what I think sounds nice'. You like his voice; I think he sounds like a sine wave generator.Glenn Carter is pure alright; pure wuss. Jesus Christ might meant to be the personification of good and pure, but this musical was the story of Jesus as a Man, more than anything else. If I'm going to identify with that character, it had better be pretty damn passionate... something which Carter lacks.

Okay, where to start? Last time I checked, Jesus Christ was meant to be the personification of "good and pure" so where does rock screeching come into that? As a Soprano and professional musician, I have a BIG problem with people slating high notes - of course, it's generally because they're rubbish at it themselves. Or have to scream to get up there. Glenn Carter has the purest tone of voice I've heard of anyone singing Gethsemane. And you'll notice, Lloyd Webber chose him ABOVE all the others!
