This woman has a wonderful expressive voice,the way she sing is better than the Jagger one,anyway this slideshow is almost a masterpiece!!

It's the first time i hear this singer;i love "Gimme shelter"since i was a teen,anyway i like more this version than the Jgger one,she has a wonderful voice and she sing with more feeling than Jagger.The slideshow is really meaningful,well done!!

I used to have some Merry Clayton on vinyl... hell if I know where it is now! Merry was one of the classic Raylettes along with the legendary Margery Hendricks. I LOVE Merry Clayton. She recorded on Phil Spectors Ode lable all out of print as far as I know. Merry Clayton is a major voice of the 20th century and I am glad she was able to send chills on the Gimme Shelter offering by the Stones. All Praises Merry Clayton!!!! Sistah Lady still be doin' it! Sorry she lost her man Curtis Amy :-(.
