Yes, he did. he was also a teacher of Steve Vai and Alex Skclonic (spelling? haha) I think he started teaching when he was around 15 or 16.

Man I love this song!!!I don't really like shred that much, I'm more of a Hendrix, Clapton and AC/DC fan myself but this song rocks so hard!!!
