robotic surgery could utilize this type object tracking couple with the servos of the medical instrument, to perform intricate procedures on people without having to "immobilize" the subject to the degree they would now. Real Time tracking could detect motion of the cell or area to be worked on and just move the instrument corespondingly so the two are relatively stationary. For instance a procedure like hair transplants could be used to "reload" cones and rods of a malfunctioning retina.
