Sadly, the greats burn out long before they should. The muse demands a price every bit as great as the gift, but yes, it's often the egos that kill the talent first. These guys are damn good, but they could be a whole lot better. Better isn't safe, though, and safe is good for the ego.

Yea, I know what you mean, but of course that could be said about many old rockers. Just look at the guy playing electric guitar next to Bruce :/Really, it's sad to see all these great rockers sort of sitting around when millions would still love to see them play together. Ego is the ultimate bitch of music.....

But even on a crappy instrument and amps he still plays bass better than almost anyone else. I can only think of four or five guys who are alive who can play as well or better than he can at bass, and most of those guys are often at the top of best bassist polls along with Bruce.

obvously. jack bruce is now souless, that is why he dosent care about what hes playing through. just who'll pay him the most for playing on there crappy instrument through crappy amps.

That was a little dry without the Clyde wah breaks, especially the one right after the "You said no things, could secure you, at the station." Nevertheless, the solo was amazing. Not as good as it could've ben though.. |
