Yeah...Bill was a good guy and a great artist.Hope he's still around to read these nice thoughts about his playing. He told me that he learned sooooo much from the "old man.....Blakey".

I never heard of bill Hardman but he has great intonation and musicality. If he played with Art blakey, he had to be great!!!! I was fortunate to see one of the last shows of Art Blakey in New York at Sweet Basil. That was fantastic!!!

Bill Hardman never got the respect the deserved for his trumpet playing abilites. He played at a very high level at any tempo. The cat was bad!!

I remember meeting Bill at the Pink Flamingo in Brooklyn with Junior Cook. He was a sweet man and a hell of a trumpet player. Unfortunately lost in the shadows of those like Lee Morgan
