Some people actually can "see" sounds. It's one type of a neurologically-based phenomenon called synesthesia. As for the fact that we can't see the 4th dimension, well we can't see time can we. We can see the 3-dimensional space in one moment of time, but not time itself.

i dont get it! once he mentioned the 4th dimension he basically just said "we cant see it but it exists"...im sorry but this makes no sense!

of course we cant see it neoartifact, but we do know it is possible for a two dimension character to see a third dimension character, just only the point that touch the 2-d's surface. draw two faces looking at each other, if you put sagan's apple and dip it in ink to represent what touch's the 2-d, the faces would see an unknown object in front of them

when you're sleeping lets hope a 4d entity dosen't come in and swoop you into the 4th dimension...that would be interesting...wonder how bored you would be then if you could look at a 3d object and see ALL of it's sides at once w/o turning it at all. or be able to go from 3 dimentional plane to another by simply walking through it, when to everyone else in that 3rd D. it would look like your teleporting O.o yea that sounds boring

Maybe Hugo Weaving is a screen-name or something..because his speech patterns, emphases and stresses are almost identical in some places, too many to make me not think of it, and of course, Carl Sagan was much, much younger when he made this video. It's possible, no? .. 'shrugs
