Forget it, Red China has already got their filthy mud-hooks in Myanmar's oil industry.

It should be perfectly alright for Myanmar citizens to torture and/or murder Myanmar military-political leaders. They should be exposed to the most painful methods of torture including amputation, rape and burning alive. They're incompetence in taking care of their own people should be rewarded with the most violent action possible.

I'd have to agree with your assessment of the above statement. It is an Idiots Delight.Though no government that I know of intercedes without its' own interests, would you agree that $2.16 billion "last year" is a drop in the oil barrel? We helped in Chernobyl, no oil there. We are giving aid to China. Maybe we plan to put troops in the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve?

You are obviously not an American and could probably care less about America. I'm suggesting we take care of America first... but you already know that. You keep calling me an idiot because I have an opinion you don't agree with... Really, all you keep saying is "Help the people of Myanmar"... and haven't given one second of thought to what I've said.... Pretty much done with you.

Still you.Do you think all Americans will be employed and there will be no homeless and everyone will have perfect health care if only we change the way the government is run. There are homeless people, poor people, what everywhere.Helping others is a responsibility we have and for you to suggest we don't help the victims of this natural disaster doesn't only make you an idiot (who knows, we might need help like this in the future) but also cruel & inhuman.

I understand. Voting isn't going to work because nearly all politicians are inherant greedy liars. A ten million person march on Washington might open the door for taking back the country. It worked in the '60s & similar actions have been successful in many countries. I believe we should take care of our own too but help others who are repressed as well. Thank you & PEACE.

totally agree t470

also read t4705mb6's response. There are over 744,000 homeless is the USA, 7.6 million americans unemployed, a huge percent of us without any kind of health insurance, rampant murderous unchecked police brutality, we basicaly have a dictator running our country into the ground.... Give me a break with the benevolent benefactor routine for other countries.Let's help our own for a change. With that said hornballsmouth or whatever your name is... who is the idiot?
t4705mb6 (May 19, 2008 at 3:21 pm)
There are millions of average americans who REALLY DO want to help. It is our government, corporations & religions that are drooling over this disaster. The fascist way is to get a toe in the door & take over..for money. Stuff. Most americans are NOT like Carl Rove. He says ANY disaster is an opportunity for the wealthy. He framed the policy here for Katrina's victims...martial law, racism, classism and a land grab for the "base". PEACE.
bornbillsmith (May 19, 2008 at 6:12 am)
You're an idiot. If the USA DIDN'T HELP YOU WOULD SAY THAT WE DIDN'T DO ENOUGH TO HELP, and would compare our lack of efforts to help to other nations efforts. You can't criticize the USA for doing the right thing.Would you rather we did nothing to help.
