nope AK's gas operation is totally different from those of STG44's, the only innovation from STG44 was its intermediate round (that AK, M-16 copied), thus creating the future genre of assault riflesfor the rifles itself, they're totally different

yup, jews changed russian AK-47 to galil, russians changed germans stg-44 to ak-47. So its actually germans idea.

the Galil in 7.62nato is powerful but in full auto its uncontrollable. the 5.56 version is weaker but easily controlled in Full Auto. the IDF have now gone for the Tavor which is 5.56

5,56mm versions are good assault rifles. But the are not more or less strong as a M16 and most other european assault rifles. And if compared with the G36 or M16 who are the most modern 5,56mm rifles, then the Galil 5,56mm is a little bit sad.

The great thing about galil(beside the MAR) are the 7,62x51mm versions! The AR version in 7,62x51 is a horrible strong weapon. the standard 5,56mm ound has 1800J. the 7,62x39mm who is used by AK47 has 1991J. But the 7,62x51mm has 3500J! Today rifles like G3 or FAL are using that round for beining a semi auto sniper. And the ARM in 7,62x51 can also be used as a extreme strong assault rifle and a fast ligth sniper rifle!
