What makes common amongst Arabs & Turks is what you've described.Both were scattered pagan tribes & clans but Allah's grace made them the greatest civilizations ever evolved in human history just in reward to say" There is no worthy to worship except Allah and Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be on him) is His messenger".

Partly agreed with your views. Their intentions however, cannot be put on suspects subject to imposing their sectarian beliefs but one of the motivating factors might this one too. Nevertheless, they helped in nick of the time & that matters & cannot be diluted with your critic. To your rest of comments all that I can say "May Allah be with Turks."
