this is true. you can roll an ak in the mud and it will still work. not so with the m16, the tolerences in the machining are to close to allow for grit... you have to clean the m16 more often, and sometimes when your being shot at you dont have the time to do that. that said, im not in a war tumbling in the sand and mud so i like my m16 (actually a pre-ban ar15,same basic weapon)
