that does make sense! I always thought of 3period siteswaps like 3/4 music! I think that helped me learn 633 better too! And with 534 mills I make the first throw same as you, but the following 34 go same height and don't go to the correct hand, usually. My 4b regular mills is not totally solid yet either. I'll keep at it, thanks

what hand are you starting the 534 mills with? i start with a throw from my right hand from my left side. so the beginning of a cycle of 3 from my left side. this way i dont get the 5 and 3 crossing from different sides. then think of the 5 as the first beat of a musical measure in 3/4. i hope you understand that youre a musicain so i can use that metaphor. if you think of siteswaps musically it makes them easier to learn. if that makes any sense.

i've started trying to learn 534 mills. I can almost do one 534 and continue regular mills, but i'm just lost... any advice?

Great tricks! You're right, though. Get your camera fixed (although it is not TO distracting, oddly enough...)

ok maybe saying not hard is bad phrasing. its not that much of a bigger step up as 534 is to 645 regular. does that make sense? and thanks. i might post more. right now school consumes most of my life.

true, confusing... in my other vid, i could only do a 3b boston as 5313333. when i tried it as 531531 it ended up as a boston half mess or sumthin. for 4b boston maybe 5344444 or something? not sure if that works though. oh, and i hate you for saying 645 mills isn't that hard... haha kidding.

645 wasnt as hard as i thought. especially because with the mills patterns you dont have to worry about crossing because everything goes to the middle. so its the exact same as 534 but just higher and faster. i think that if you did a 534 boston your hands would change patterns because a boston mess is essentially a fountain, cascade, what have you but your hands are doing the siteswapping. its confusing.

PS the quality isn't that bad. you can still see the balls, and the shape of the patterns, just a little blurry is all. You're a darn good juggler, you need to have a lot more videos up, i don't think anyone will mind the bluriness.

wow! it's cool to see a 4b boston! i've tried a few times, can't get it though. and 534 mills looks awesome! i'm solid with 534, but not with 4b mills, so i haven't even bothered trying 534mills yet. 645 mills has to be near impossible! great job, and i hope you get a good camera and make some more vids soon! |
