The odds of a success are NOT 1/32, they're 1/42, with the greens accounted for. So theoretically he'll succeed one in 42 tries. (he's hoping sooner than that). They publish the one success, and he's got a nice video for (in theory) $4200 or less. Betting 4200 to win 3200 is an awful prospect. Stay away from ROULETTE!! So no 'setup' was necessary, given how little it would cost to wait for a success. As for the graphics being up just before the ball dropped. It's for the TV audience to see.
