This song remind me of my (Shawn Long). He was a black gay man from Utah. I had no clue they that those type of men existed in Utah, with me being a black gay man from Richmond, CA. He was so real and had gone through so much, and I miss the long conversations we would have about our past. He died. And this song, man, he would sing this song and hit the notes.
