Mostly near water, and in dry places ^^ They also like to rest in a compost heap like the grass snake XD

i got bit by one of those when i was in school,i found it on the field and told the dinnerlady, she was really scared of it so she asked me to put it somewhere where it wouldnt get trampled, being 10 i didnt know a thing about snakes so i went to pick it up and take it to safety, it did a 180 on me and bit me on the wrist, i was kinda lucky it was a dry bite...

Ahh, one of my favorite snakes :D ! I'm writing a book that has snakes as the protagonasts. Four of them are adders. The adults are Duncan and Tara, and the grandchildren are Anne(Annabelle) and Tom (after my late intern pastor). I usually find little garter/grass snakes where I live. They're pretty squirmy until they 'make a mess on you'. I got a pretty bad whiff of that XD

Heya mate, I can assure you I did not even squeeze that snake. I love 'em and I would never harm anything. Wherever possible I supported hi head and took the weight of his tail, be it on the ground on on my hand. I wouldn't want people to go around breaking snake's tails but I'm not going to be a hypocrite. Thanks for your concern mate, really appreciated,Cheers,Ben |
