Surefire seems to have a more focused beam. Which one is better the E2D Executive Defender or the 6P Defender.

I have feild tested the Fenix, and it has surprisingly good throw. Also, on the Duracell argument, I did do a test for a science fair project (using some pretty accurate methods), and compared to Ray-O-Vac and Energizer, Duracell does indeed last longer. Infact Duracell outperformed Ray-O-Vac constantly by as much as 1.5 hours.

I will have to say though, I own both the Maglite 3-D cell LED and a Fenix L2T. Very close up, the Fenix is brighter than the Maglite (thats like 3 inches away from the wall). When you shine a bit further though, the Maglite is brighter in the hotspot. The problem is, the Maglite has a rather dim corona. Of course, the Maglite does have a very focused beam for good throw. The Fenix on the other hand has a good hotspot, but also has a very bright corona.

At 5:07 you said that the police fasten a Surefire to their torches? I presume you meant guns.

I agree that Duracells are over-hyped. The big brands are often no better than the smaller brands when it comes to batteries. |
