This is the truely opening that spagehti western has made big storm in the movie history and made a milestone..For a long time, somebody don't appreciatespagehti western..especially comparing withUSA western.But for me, I appreciate those from Italy have been big entertainment..and still outstanding value to see.

he actually ripped the story and cinematography from kurosawa home boy. rent yojimbo. either way, both movies are amazing.

i love Segei Leone's films because they tell stories and present them in a way that no other director ever can. not because it's "american western" or something like that.

they are not "cowboys" they are always and will be universally contemporary people fighting for money. its based on a reality and a myth. reality beeing what i just mentioned and myth is the seen. so whats reality then? do u think people adore these films because the erect a "cowboy" american dream? no.

It appears you have no idea what Brokeback Mountain is about. It's not supposed to be set back in the day when men roamed free with nothing but a horse and a gun at their hip. The setting is somewhere in the 70's. It's about average men with ranching jobs, which hardly classifies them as lone wolf vigilantes you're thinking of. "Cowboys" should indicate anyone who works on a ranch or with livestock. I can't believe you got so many plus votes. It makes me sad for humanity.

one of my favorite intro music ever! The guitar, the (maybe a bit cheesy) gunfire, the whistling (the guy doing it is really skillful to whistle that way O_o)... every sound effect is perfect.That was great Western movie... and people are pretending "3:10 to Yuma" is a western movie... they are so wrong: obvious those saying this never watched Leone's
