Being in love with an alcoholic is so painful and trying...they can mess up everything in your life "but my God it's so beautiful when the boy smiles." That's my thought about it.

I know this has nothing to do with the song.I sat beside my father while he laid quietly in his hospital bed. hoping this disease wouldn't take him from me unfortunatly it did. I held his hand while they disconnected his life support. all i could say was just breath

this is what i think the song is about.the first part is about a girl who is having a baby w/ a man she doesnt love and is going to have an abortion..second part is about the man she doesnt love he is down becuz she doesn't love him any more he is drinking becuz of it..she says its so beautiful when the boy smiles becuz even after she broke up with him she is still emotionly ettatched to him and still loves it when he smiles.over all the song is about moving on in life..does that make any since?

because there's always two sides of a story, and even so a person. I think she trying to explain why these things are so difficult.Making choices for the better, but not knowing if they will..That's what I think it is.. ? Hope you somehow understand my weird mind.. :) lol.byee!

I dunno maybe because she don't like him but she thinks it's beautiful when he smiles? i dunno lol
