Muse made it in collaboration with director Joseph Kahn. Cydonia is a reference to the area of Mars named Cydonia where it is believed that life once existed. Joseph Kahn also made the music video for Jamiroquois' 'Feels just like it should' and videos for numerous other artists and TV Spots.
