i agree with you Dragunov is a beauty, US army says Dragunov aint good sniper, of course its not good for them they dont know how to use that XD poor guys, russia knows how to use it =)

The only designated marksman rifle that comes close to the SVD, in my opinion, is Heckler und Koch's PSG-1.The Dragunov's 7.62x54mmR rounds are pretty unbeatable, though. :)

Mir was decommissioned in 2001: only the ISS is in use these days, though the Russians are admittedly a huge contributor.

Finally, an intelligent response.If not for China's huge population, Russia would likely be further ahead, and Russia certainly does have its hands in China's pockets. I look forward to seeing what Russia pulls off in the coming years, and the same can be said for China and India.Personally, I prefer the AEK-971, but the AN-94 is a pretty cool rifle too. :)
