after really examining this video and others by cream really closely,i can understand why eric clapton said they were all going in different directions onstage musically,Clapton wasnt playing WITH Jack and Ginger who were locked in and tearing it up,it was those two that made this band smoke,not clapton

Nice to see you prefere to offend people instead find fine argument to contest else opinions. Anywhay I said: the style of Clapton is a MASTERPIECE but in terms of innovation or composition Beck or Hendrix done more (see Beck's Bolero - 1966)because he's more ortodox guitarist, like Mick Taylor (who actually I prefere more then all other).The blanding and the fluid use of pentatonic remains in my heart, god bless him ect..Satisfied? Many people agree that Clapton was a superior guitarist in his younger years but who the fuck do you think you are saying he can't stand-up to "monsters" like Jeff Beck and Hendrix? It's perfictly resonable to say that in your opinion Hendrix is a little better but to say that Clapton couldn't compete is just ignorant. I'm not even going to start on Jeff Beck because that'll just make me angry. Clapton was an inovator, what did Jeff Beck ever do? Fucking nothing.
