no arguing here. they're two stellar and different groups. they all compose and this sounds like a zenon or douglas composition. so much intensity, and how about renee rosnes on keys!!! damn!!! I liked both the groups with payton/redman and douglas/lovano

i just fell like crying when i listen to miguel zenon soloing like that, the way he delivers the solo, so much beauty... its ridiculous...

Dude..... You are crazy... Joe Lovano Is a master Improviser and Composer and Sx Player...... You Cant compare him and joshu.... Joshu is my all time FAv But Nonetheless Joe can Show Joshua A thing or two.... And VISe Versa

I saw them four years ago as their original group, and then once more a couple months ago. You can argue all day long that the individual players arent as good. that question has no right answer. But, you cant argue that this group is much tighter as a whole. I am a huge Joshua Redman fan, but joe is an equally great musician. a great teacher too.
