funny the circumstances in the way he won, but many people don't realise that he was actually at one time, 2nd fastest in the world, and 18 or so months before, he nearly bled to death when another skater fell and cut his leg nearly off. Apparently it was only luck that a medical wizz was there and able to pinch his severed artery.
