U fools this song isnt about him using drugs, its about when his mum was dying and all the drugs she used never worked so he wrote this

i think he means in the long run they make things worse. they provide short-term help but it doesn't last.

good song but the truth is that drugs do work thats why people use them in the first place because they do what you actually want them to if they didnt then no one would use them now would they but at the end this is a pretty cool song

A Band and A great song which regained the60's nostalgia of free spirit ..Love and creativity..I was wanting to know if at one time you ever were/or are a verve fan...And are commenting on Ashcroft's slow beat...As this song took all of 2 day's to write and 1 month to complete..(with exception to the video)Thanks Steve
