In 1982 I was lucky enough to be in the second row at a USO show in the Phillipines where Foster Brooks performed. I was about twenty at the time and I remembered him from watching TV with my parents as a kid. Shows like Dean Martin and the Tonight show with J. Carson. He was beyond funny that day, he absolutely KILLED. He was pretty old at that point but his timing was ON, the man was razor sharp.

These shows are funny, my dad use to watch them when I was a kid so I had no choice back then. No cable and only 2 canadian channels. I laugh now when I see them drink and smoke and the endowed women are to funny...

Maybe we should start a petition to get all the Dean Martin shows back on TV. They'd make a fortune in commercial time and they could cancel some of the 30 minute to 60 minute commercials.

I agree, I wish we could turn back the clocks 30 years. Comedians today need to learn from these people, it would be a much greater world if they could imitate these hilarious comedians like Dean Martin, Foster Brooks & Sammy Davis Jr. Then at least we would have them back again with us.
