I'm sorry to say (just my own opinion) that Katharine Hepburn was not a beautiful woman. She was nice looking but not beautiful. Ingrid Bergman had it over her like a tent. One more thing, if you want to see Ingrid with NO makeup, maybe just a brush of powder, watch For Whom The Bell Tolls where she wore no makeup at all.

You're right beriflor, but the movie she wore the most makeup of all - even overdone if I may say so - was THE VISIT. She did some of her best acting in this film but the makeup waspretty heavy. Try to get this film, you'll know what I mean.

In the scene where Ingrid and Bogey are dancing, Bogey was wearing four inch lifts on his shoes. I have a picture of it (I am a Bergman collector). Ingrid as you may know was a very tall woman. Bogart was short. I especially enjoyed watchingBogart sitting on the couch and Ingrid standing asking him"a penny for your thoughts?" Notice how tall and slim shelooked and when she sat down beside him, those longlong slim legs really got me. He looked like a puppet nextto her.

sorry to disappoint the many who think ingrid wore lots of makeup....she didn't believe in it, she had rosy cheeks from her scandinavia bloodlines...the only movie she used make up in even a modest way was the classic jekyll and hyde when she played the part of the prostitute, her beauty was natural like hedy lamarr and ava gardner..these three when in their prime are the all time most beautiful
