Eddie will always be in my heart forever with his voice and music. When this song came out I was in Iraq during Desert Storm, and the guys just loved to send these words back home to there women. He left us unhappy by his passing, but very happy with his life and music. May the world always remember his voice and what he meant to us as humans. He will always be loved and missed by many.

The saddest day of my life! Well, at least it was until my dad died in 2004, but at least Daddy made it to 74. My beloved Eddie died in what really should have been his prime. RIP...you really did make us "HAPPY" with your music!

first time i've heard this, just like other Eddie kendrick music its amazing. I am redecovering Eddie and I found even though, he didn't fare to well on the charts-his music(after the tempts)is awesome.

In late 1991, Kendrick, by now living in his native Birmingham, underwent surgery to have one of his lungs removed in hopes of preventing the spread of the cancer. He continued to tour through the summer of 1992, when he fell ill again and was hospitalized. Eddie Kendrick died on October 5, 1992 of lung cancer
