As far as I know there is only one university that does a Beatles Degree, although what use it would be is quite frankly baffling.I think you will find blokes have been singing about love since long before John Lennon came along.Perhaps you are not old enough to remember though, foe example Elvis "Love Me Tender"1956 pre-dating the Beatles by 7 years.There was lots of music written about love,long before The Beatles ever came on the scene - promise !

I think musicians have been writing and singing about love long before John Lennon.I don't think you can credit it to him as being the inventor of a good pop song.
