Web Cast Interview with OEA President Patricia Frost-Brooks

This year, as part of our Fall advertising plan, we tried a new approach. In addition to our traditional advertising we also put together a web cast news interview with Pat Frost-Brooks. We are piloting this approach on two talk radio web sites, WTVN in Columbus and WTAM in Cleveland. We chose this approach for several reasons: recent statistics show that talk radio stations are receiving over 1 million hits per month and traditional radio listeners are going to radio station web sites for their news and information. Also, conducting a pre-recorded interview that airs on the radio station's web site gave us the opportunity to provide the questions to use in the interview, script the answers and edit if necessary. We also recorded :15 second radio messages to "drive" listeners to view the web page, to watch the video and learn more information about the Ohio Education Association. We are keeping statistics on the number of view it gets.
