there's something in the (geothermally heated) water in iceland. how do you get so many brilliant musicians and a nobel prize winning author and all those sagas out of a country with (today, at the high point) 300,000 people? we've got to get some of that water over here in america. from my town of 300,000, we could only muster up a few local newsanchors, a couple of bands nobody's ever heard of (for good reason), and i think one untalented american idol finalist. we NEED some of that water...

I JUST got turned on to Sigur Ros a day ago, and this was the first song I listened to.I absolutely love it, it's like...even though it's in Icelandic (something I can't understand) you really FEEL the song. AMAZING.

This song is from the album Takk, but the Wikipedia article was about the album (). So maybe this one was mostly Icelandic and that one was all Hopelandic.

Ah. That's interesting. In fact, the Wickipedia article was referring to songs on (), and this song probably isn't on ()---I think all the songs on () are untitled. But my point was that it's not a given that this band sings in Icelandic. They don't always.
