I have schizo-affective which is basically schizophrenia and the aura and visions are definitely a part of it - i think it is more of a spiritual experience than a sickness that people think it is - - the only difference between schizophrenia and being psychic is how well you can adjust to society...

they are. He wasnt treated properly by doctors. and he was staying in a madhouse. His art wasnt dark at all. It was actually ment to be the happiest thin ever. it just kinda got, outta hand.

look up wains peice called "the perfect cat"one he did near his death. He was mentally ill. and was staying in the craziest asylum ever. Bedlam Hospital. Labotomies and all. He wrote a description on the back of the painting describing it. It was complete nonsense. Not to him i suppose.

Well it would appear to me that his late-onset schizophrenia had the beneficial effect of significantly contributing to the progression and overall improvement of Louis Wain's art. His saccharine and sentimental early "works" depicting cats in "human situations" almost almost drove me mad. ;-)

With having the same condition but in a lesser form I'm not sure the changes in his art are to do with his illness. Although my art is slightly darker than the norm it's not drastically changed so to look at it you wouldn't know. Still, it was a brilliant video. Kudos for making it.

I agree - I used the term "energy field" because I think often schizophrenics see auras.

Interesting video, anyone know what the song is?

wow this is amazingthe cat with the energy fields around it was..... creepy xD perhaps his schophrenia allowed him to see auras of animalsi totally agree with Aquarius Revolution there was this boy at my school who was severely autistic and he could copy anything in absolutely perfect detail

I completely agree. My favorite band is 'mewithoutYou' and the lead singer/songwriter is thought to be autistic.

that is some amazing art, honestly, i believe people that have mental disorders are the best artists.
