Martha is actively involved in the Detroit City Council. She's alive and well...and IN control.Nice to see a clip such as this more than 40 yrs. later...she's a gem as well as her 'gals'.

i read somewhere poor woman had a nervous breakdown and the pressure was too much for her,i really love the old recordings ,i think they werent treated to well at motown ,shame good artists dont get support in those days

The comments re: Martha's vocal "spasms" and whether someone was tickling her LOL - very astute. Something did indeed happen to her voice. I appears to have happened sometime between Motown 25 in 1983 and the Legendary Ladies cable show in 1987. But what it was remains a mystery.....it was something.....
