There is no problem in eating them as long as you're sure you know which kind you're eating and as long as they're very fresh.Mushrooms are delicious especially Morels!

Darn! That wasn't long enough. I wish I could have seen a longer documentary on the subject, this is very interesting.Excellent way of filming mushrooms and David Attenborough is brilliant as usual.

What we see growing here are the flowering bodies. Most of the actual fungal organism is under the ground, or in trees. Some of these can potentially survive for hundreds of years.
