It's a mystery to me, but I think this song is so wonderful. I've loved it from the first time I heard, it must have been in 1970 or something.Thanks for posting it, I'm glad I found it here!!

My uncle used to be friends with Ian Matthews, Ian used to work for him in Scunthorpe and he always used to be singing at work. Theres a picture of my uncle and him on my uncles motorbike on his website bio. Apparently this song got to number one?

Back in the early seventies I used to tease a friend that this version was not as good as the one by Crosby, Stills and Nash, becuse I was a big fan of CSN (and Neil Young). In reality I knew that this version was far superior!
