Wow... somebody sounds jealous. The drums sound fine to me. I still prefer Mike Nesmith's version better but OF COURSE Linda Ronstadt is, as always, AWESOME.

This is a great live version, and to the untrained ear, I think the drumming/rhythm is clever. The switch between a 4/4 country swing and 2/4 off beat totally reflects the title of the song (please Nez, Linda, Poney's back me up if you like). The crap audio (3 out of 5 mike,s working)does,nt help, and despite ethat it,s still entertaininsong is a tribute to the era, and something
