He didn't talk about Zakk he talked about you and all the other youtube tough guys who claim neoclassic shred = soulless.Yngwie may be different from Zakk (and I like Zakk more), but his playing is FULL of fucking soul. And btw, PROTIP: He covered Vodoo Chile too.

Here is the thing, Zakk Wylde HAS feeling in his playing and he is not a "one note per minute pentatonic fucktard". Yngwie only does sweeped arpeggios and thinks he is the best mother fucker to ever learn to sweep.

If I hear the words Malmsteen and soul used in the same sentance by some 13 year old dipshit who's just parroting what he's heard a hundred times by fellow pentatonic addicted one note per minute fucktards, I'm gonna go a-noob hunting

Malmsteen is good, but he has no soul in his playing.

I would love to see a video from anyone posting this shit about Malmsteen sucking. For people to say that, then they have no conception on just what it is that he's playing.Classic inspired shred? With that said you plainly don't have a clue as to what he is doing. Look up "arpeggios from hell" here on youtube..If after watching him play that, you still feel he sucks,or just shred, then it's clear you dont have a fucking clue about guitar.

Wow. I haven't seen this in years. And the fact that it came from the Power 30 is awesome. That was back when MuchMusic actually used to play videos. For non-Canadians, the Power 30 was a half-hour show that played hard rock and metal videos. For a while, it was the Pepsi Power 30. And anyone who used to watch it years and years ago can attest to the fact that both Erica Ehm and Teresa Roncon were two of the hottest women to ever host a metal show. |
