lol funny

I don't really get your last sentence, but that's sort of what it's for. improve aerodynamics and reduce the wake
cudedude118 (May 20, 2008 at 6:40 pm)
guess it fell of;) naaah, pretty weird it's only one instead of two or none, but they're not essential, just, preferable extra's
bata9955 (May 20, 2008 at 5:47 pm)
wait there only 1 winglet on that a330!!!!
agent648 (May 7, 2008 at 7:48 pm)
Oh ok kl XD .... yhe ive seen the massive ones of the 738 models , so basically it,s to reduce amount of wake turbulence to allow less need for a bigger space gap between a big plane and small ?
cudedude118 (May 7, 2008 at 7:46 pm)
That's not true;) well, define large.. have you seen the massive wing lets on the Boeing 737 700/800? They are huge compared to the little triangle form on the A320. And I looked it up, it's to change the aircraft's wake
agent648 (May 7, 2008 at 7:20 pm)
Ok so im guessing it,s only a minor aerodynamic effetc on the plane otherwise if it were large it would be dangerous unless it was correct throughout the flight. im only 13 have no idea what im orn about
cudedude118 (May 7, 2008 at 7:03 pm)
They do affect aerodynamics, in a good way. I am doing an Aviation study, although I couldn't really say you why the winglets improve them. It does have to do with the aerodynamic flow of air over the airfoil and whether it's laminar or turbulent, atleast if I got it right.

I was in this plane to London, then to Edinburgh The plane was very impressive

i was on this plane to chicago! :> great airline, great plane and great flight :> |
