haha oh right. cool. sounds like fun. i prefer to ride a singlespeed mountain bike that is basically a road bike. i cant let go of the hydraulic front disc brakes and V-brakes on the rear... the 15 foot stoppies on red lights are just too damn fun :)

in the rain all your components just get all mucked up, your brakes don't work as well, derailleurs seem to get really dirty really fast, it's just bad for your bike. but fixie in the rain is the shit, no squealing brakes, no parts to get mucked up. plus yeah, you can lay a 100 foot patch if you want.

yeah, it's rough. going down hills is kind of a pain in the ass, it's like the movies, hills everywhere. it's actually stupid to ride fixed gear year-round there. but in the rainy season it's the only way to go.
