Only because you can opt out of the system.

It always is part of it. The normal causes are war etc. but the US isnt the first country to use a fiat currency.

Dude I've allot of Jared Diamond and not using a commodity based currency was never a factor in the collapse of a civilization.

By the way Gold was last used in the 70's, its a system that was used since early history of man. Everytime they go off on that system &/or inflated their money supply, their civilization never lasted.

Actually there isnt. The only reason the other countries ditched the commodity system is because they're tied to the American Dollar. Though guess what? Theyre ditching the dollar and other countries might even go on a Gold standard, like China.

You're not talking about the medieval non sense of the gold standard are you really there are very good reasons why commodity based currency was ditched.

HAHA!!! Free world... the world is not free nor is America. It's owned buy the central banks of the world. So me a country that prints it's own money and I'll show you a free country. Don't look too hard though because virtually all nations of the world are now controlled by a central bank and thus slaves to that monetary system. Bottom line is you are suppose to want socialized health care because what the world bankers want you to want. Because debt is more profitable than freedom.
wind0wninja (July 12, 2008 at 12:05 am)
Socialized health care guarantees debt to the American populace. So how would you pay for it without going into debt? You can't that's how so it really is not an option that should be taken seriously. But there are just too many people that want something for nothing. What we should be doing is breaking the chains of the creditors and fire Congress that keeps spending money we don't have. And as soon as UHC goes into effect citizens that cannot efford to pay now become criminals. Swell huh?

we have the system he is talking about here in australia it works fine as you get tax cuts from having private cover but you can still get care for free if you want
side1981 (July 8, 2008 at 5:44 am)
Ok so in other words the soultion to the flaws of our health care problems is to use something different than the rest of the free world. brilliant if anyone can site system like what Paul is arguing for in real life I'd like to see it. Until then I say we should model our health care system off of France's which is the most successful in the world. |
