how can you hate this version..the cure is amazing...as was joy division....its there way of paying respect to the late ian curtis......they are not trying to take away from them they are adding to the mystery and significance of JD.....

i prefer Ian's version but i cant say The cure did it bad , this is one of best covers of this song , Robert's voice's pretty good .

This was recorded at Big Day Out '00- the tamborine player is a girl who won a competition to play onstage with The Cure. Due to copyright issues, JJJ were only ever allowed to air the recording once; I remember hearing it while driving to work. Another comp winner did a hilarious cover of 'Do you really want to hurt me' using a sound fx keyring... :D
