Let these girls grow up. Asada wasn't this good of a skater either when she was 14. Big difference between being 14 and 17. Asada should be much more mature on the ice then Zhang or Nagasu she has 3 years on them.

Even among the young American skaters, there isn't anyone like Asada or Kim. Caroline Zhang is too small. She lacks speed & power in her skating. Her jumps just get 3 inches off of the ice. She doesn't step up into her jumps at all. She looks like a little girl. Rachel Flatt has more power, but she still skates like a truck driver with very fugly positions. Her donut spin is so fugly that it looks as if she's mugging herself. lol Mirai Nagasu is the best hope for the Americans.

how could Kostner ends up Silver?? she is a European and competition was held in Europe??? Mao rec'd ridiculously high score and Kostner after made mistake. Actually, Mao's teammate performed much better than Mao; you do not have to be a professional judge; its easy to tell; see to prove it. Podium 1. Yuna 2. Yukari 3. Mao.

I think Mao and YuNa (in addition to Sarah Meier, etc) are just as artistic - you must be blind not to notice this. Caroline Zhang, to be honest, should be taking more consideration into her general skating skill and step ability (both of which are quite bleh right now), because emoting and choreography can only take you so far in PCS.With that said, of course both her and Mirai (who I personally favor) will develop as long as they remain injury free. |
