You have obviously never seen or heard of noodling. Not trying to be rude, but it's a common sport here in the south. Male Catfish protect their brood for about 3 weeks after they hatch not including the time before hatching. They typically will bite quite literally ANYTHING that comes near the nest during this time. Including human arms. It is actually such a successful method, that some states are considering regulating or outlawing it
